So i just bought a HP DV7-1000, it should arrive next friday. What im worried about is the networking, it says it doesn't have built-in wireless networking, but one of its features is mobile wireless 3G. I'm just wondering if its the same as a normal wireless network so i can use the internet without having to connect it with a wire.
This is the laptop i have bought: http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/511412/HP-RECON-DV7-1000/tab/specification

it will either come with a dongle for the wireless 3g or the laptop will have a sim card slot for you to put a sim card in, although to be honest i would assume its a typo 99.9% of all laptops nowadays come with wifi cards in them

yeah but comet aint the most reliable retailer just have a look around their site there are probs all over they either omit features or give it features it dont have.
update: you really should check manufacturers websites before commiting to buy

no mention of 3g there obviously a typo it has a Intel® PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection
not a 3g wireless internet. -
FYI, wireless 3G is like your mobile phone. It uses the mobile network to get data. A "normal" wireless network will be 802.11a/b/g/n or something like that.
