Need help!!!

Anyone can help me? Just bought a Intel dual band wireless ac 7260 to replace my qualcomm atheros ar9485wb-eg but under device manager i received an error code 10. Have tried to update with the latest driver but problem still persist

 

You did not mention the laptop at all. I assume it's a Lenovo or a Dell and you ave bought a Wi-Fi card that is not meant for this laptop (it's not white-listed).
If that's the case there are two solutions - removing the white-listing with a modified BIOS or buying a card that is white-listed.

 

Thanks for your reply, my laptop model is asus s46c and i checked online there is people who mentioned that asus and msi doesnt have a white-listing. sorry i am newbie in this area, are you able to assist me further?

 

It will not work if you bought a card for a white-listed laptop and put it in a different one that it was meant to work?
Where did you buy it? Any specific link or a photo of a card you could provide?

My Bluetooth is running properly but for my wifi i have received an exclamation mark with error code 10

I bought it from online.

 

For one thing it's an engineering sample, not a final product. That in itself is not a good thing.
Secondly it seems it's a card meant for Lenovo notebooks which means it will not work in any other notebooks than Lenovo ones.

There is not much you can do - I would return it if I were you.

It's not the only one that will work - there are more recent ones than this so the numbers might be slightly different.
Pay attention not to buy anything advertised as being for Dell or Lenovo or HP and if there is a photo provided, google the numbers on it and see what comes up.

 

Just one last qn... which number should i be looking at? TA or WFM, BDM or CMiiT ID?

 

Start with TA. The following two will not help you much.

Sorry I am a little confuse here, when you mentioned about the following two will not help me much. By any chance are you referring to those TA number in the two pdf are not compatible with my asus laptop?
