Hey buddies
I've gone thru various threads in various forms regarding the same problem, now i've started experiencing the same problem. At times my SSID is not visible to my laptop (intel 3945 abg, vostro 1500) and i'm able to see SSID'd of my neighbours with good signals. On rebooting my adsl modem router (utstarcom wa3002g4) once or twice, i'm able to connect. What cud b the reason & what cud be the solution for the same.
I've already reset my utstarcom thing to factory settings & configured it again. Its working fine right now as i'm posting this post but i was required to reboot it twice in order to connect my laptop with router. Also i tried to upgrade the driver of my intel 3945 abg but that only created problems of dropping connection, which i never experienced with older version, so i restored my system in order to go back to old version of driver.
Infact i feel that i tried to update my driver while i wasn't experiencing any problems, just to upgrade to new version. Its only after that i start experiencing problems..
Please help me out..
I'm using my router in pppoe mode
Rgds

check ur router setting for something called SSID name broadcast , be sure its set to show SSID name , and try to add ur network to favorite list to make the computer connect to it automaticalli even if its name is not shown

Thanks for the reply buddy.
Both the things u mentioned are same way already. -
can u try another laptop or pc , if u find the same problem , i think it's either the router is not working well , or your neighbor router is too close and interfering

Have you updated your wireless driver to the latest version? Intel released an update for the 3945abg in June that fixed some known issues.

Yes i tried to update my driver even when i wasn't facing any problems & i starrted facing loss in network strength & drops in connectivity. So i rolled back to previous version which was installed originally. I feel i started facing problems only after i tried to upgrade the driver.
