I am desperate. I have never been able to use my Acer Aspire 1352 laptop wirelessly.
My Netgear router happily connects both with my PC and with my mini Asus EEEPC but numerous tries with Belkin, Netgear and Sweex adapters have all failed with the Acer. In each case Network Connections will show the adapter but will not connect.
Is there some hidden setting causing this. Various XP manuals talk about XP having a built-in wireless facility, but where?

The built-in wireless functionality is the Wireless Zero Configuration Utility, which can be used to configure a wireless connection. Look up Microsoft Knowledge Base article 871122, it deals with starting the WZC service.

You do not want 2 managers running at the same time. Sometimes there is a mfg that comes with the card/mfg.
