Does anyone have any recommendations about a software tool to monitor the wireless networks nearby and help to choose which wireless channel to use etc?
I have a Netgear router, (D6400) and there seems to be a software tool they make but its for Android only, not for use in Windows for some reason.
I've tried switching channels 1/6/11 on the 2.4GHZ band but every now and then something pops on - I think a neighbour turns on their router and wireless extender and I get poor connection quality until I swap channels. It even happens when my router wireless channel is set to auto, I'd just like to figure out whats happening and find a workaround.
Appreciate any pointers, thanks.

This is a great tool: https://lizardsystems.com/wi-fi-scanner/
It's free for personal use but you will have to register and they will send you an activation key to that e-mail.
They do not send any spam though at least not that I have noticed. -
Thank you @downloads I'll take a look at that, and see if I can find out whats happening. Appreciate the reply.

I'm partial to WifiInfoView: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wifi_information_view.html
Freeware and completely portable. I can't believe people charge money for this.
