Hello Asus comunity ,
My name is Alexander and I'am new here.
I'am writing this post because i have a big problem with my bluetooth controller on my ASUS R510D Notebook.
I installed windows 8.1 on the laptop , I even installed the drivers from the orginal CD Driver. Unfotunately , the windows crashes right before the instalation reaches 100%.
I searched all over google for a fix at this problem but nothing helped me.
The Bluetooth driver is signed as RALINK and i have read on google that many users have the same problem like me, but none of that support worked for me. The windows Screen goes blue and this error apears : SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Please, give me a hand of help , I bought this laptop because I needed the bluetooth service too , not only the requirements .
Signed as Alexander.

Try the most recent Bluetooth drivers from Ralink.
Ralink Bluetooth Suite Version 11.0.759.0 -
Hello and thank you very much for your answer!
I will try it and tommorow I will reply here if it worked or not. -
I tried your option , but like all the other drivers, didn't worked. Any more suggestios?
-
So Windows installs correctly but you get a blue screen when installing drivers, is that correct?
-
Thank you for answering!
Yeah, that is correct. But windows crashes only when I'am installing the RALINK bluetooth driver. I tried all the versions of RALINK bluetooth driver, but the windows just crashes . -
What is the actual name of the Ralink BT adapter shown in device manager? And what is the current version of the driver (the one that Windows installs by default)?
If Windows is unable to install any driver or no BT device seems available make device manager show hidden devices and copy the device ID and post it here (looks something like this: PCI\VEN_1814DEV_3298SUBSYS_18EC103CREV_00)
You are by no means the only person with this problem but to make it even worse Ralink driver pack includes drivers for three different Ralink devices (one not even based on Ralink chipset), so we have to know exactly which device is it that we are looking at. -
Hello again, and thank you for answering!
Here you go :
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3298&SUBSYS_E056105B&REV_00\00004AB763C40EEC01
Driver version : 2.9.7.2
Ralink Bluetooth PCie Adapter
What I need to mention in plus is that this driver installed only 50% , then the windows crashed.
Thank you one more time! -
Try extracting the archive I linked to and then go to x86 folder (if you have 32bit Windows) or amd64 folder if you have 64 bit Windows and either whichever you choose then follow this part program files\Ralink Corporation\Ralink Bluetooth Stack\driver\rtbth
Move all files that are in this folder (6 of those) to a new folder you have created on your desktop.
Then start device manager, find the Bluetooth device, right click on it and choose "update driver", choose "manually..." and them "browse to..." and choose the folder that you've just created with those six files in it.
Hopefully that will work. -
Hello again and sorry for my late response. I did what you telled me to do , I managed to install the driver, but again a big BUMP.
I tried to connect the PC with a tablet and a cellphone, bump.
Please , as a pc repair man I never dealed with this kind of problem!
Thank you very much for your support!
