Greetings - I think this is my first post in Networking...Anyways, I have an Eee PC 1000H with an N wireless card on it. Because my throughput is so poor where I am currently working/living - I frequently bring up the Local Area Connection Status in XP and watch packets (slowly) coming and going. With my other three systems in my room, the packets Sent and Received looks normal - sometimes the numbers are roughly even but most of the time the packets received is roughly twice the number of packets sent. But, only on the Eee PC, the number is always reversed. That is, like this morning, I saw it at 14,000 packets sent and 7000 received. I thought that maybe I have some kind of virus or something but I have scanned it and it is clean. Maybe this two to one (sent to received) is common for N cards?? I hope that is the case and any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

Yes that is unusual unless you upload stuff.
Go to your task manager and quickly check the network utilization. Make sure all your internet connected programs are closed. It should idle at 0% till you do something that requires the internet. -
Did you upgrade your wireless driver to ver 1.2.0.0? I have the same netbook but I have Vista Ultimate installed.
