I downloaded this PDF "USB 3.0- Radio Frequency Interference on 2.4 GHz Devices.pdf" by accident a month a go and had a quick read.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...al-bus/usb3-frequency-interference-paper.html
Today i bought an 128GB usb 3.0 memory stick and noticed when i was writing to the stick my internet radio that is like 5" away looses it`s wifi signal and the audio stops.
So to test this, I got a piece of aluminium foil and put it in-between the radio and the usb stick, and within 10 seconds the radio started working again, So i removed the foil and within 10 seconds the radio stopped again.
I suppose this interference should affect Bluetooth as well as it transmits on 2.4Ghz as well.

So i tried 3 other usb 3.0 memory sticks to see if they would interfere with my internet radio signal.
I set my radio to show the memory buffer, and the 3 other memory stick did not cause any problem.
As soon as i plugged in my new usb 3.0 memory stick the memory buffer level started to drop abd the radio sound stops when the buffer is empty, if i pull out the memory stick just before the buffer is totally empty the buffer level fills up to maximum.
So i wonder if this usb 3.0 memory stick does not have an radio screening inside.

Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
@Tinderbox (UK) microSD cards are much more versatile, thanks to form-factor; they can be used inside tiny nano USB 2.0 adapters, bigger yet faster USB 3.0 adapters, recent USB-C adapters, or both full-size and shorter-to-sit-flush SD adapters. I honestly believe purchasing any non-microSD card nowadays is a folly - unless it costs less than half of microSD of same capacity, that is.

I have 3 micro usb adaptors. they are only usb 2, not 3 do you have a link to a usb 3.0 version that you recommend?

This one is a great concept, but in reality part of microSD card annoyingly sticks out; also, at least on mine, the card stops working when pushed as much as possible inside the adapter - which may happen, say, during transportation - but my particular adapter may be flawed, or I could have damaged it by pushing the card too far inside; anyway, it works if a card is pulled back a bit, and speeds are decent.
I also have this one. It is quite big (and can take full-size SD as well), but in both cases the actual card sticks outside, making it not very comfortable to use. It is dirty cheap, on the other hand.
If I was in the market for USB 3.0 microSD adapter now, I'd choose this one - because the card sits flush.

Thanks, I will order a black version of the one you recommend

Maybe USB flash drives started telemetry and started sending them via unknown channel.
USB 3.0 can interfere with 2.4Ghz WiFi
