Hey guys. I've recently gotten an aircard (datacard) from alltel. I'm using it as my primary internet connection. It's working great and it's beats all of my other options (dial up or hughesnet). I'm only having one issue at the moment. The aircard has a usb connection and I need to be able to hook the aircard up to a router because I have several computers in my house that need to access the internet.
What I need or what I *think* I need is an adapter allows me to plug my usb aircard into it and have a RJ-45 output. I have been able to find the opposite of what I'm looking for (an input RJ-45 and output USB). Basically I need a female USB port.

I need a cheap wireless router that allows a USB input. I will use the router for surfing and gaming. I've managed to find a wired router with a USB input but I need wireless.

Alltel offers a wireless router to do what I need but they want 300$ for it. I will pay it if I have to but I really don't want to.
Thanks Guys,

I'm pretty sure that any Ethernet->USB adapter is going to require drivers. I'm not sure this is gonna work period.

I don't mind if it requires drivers I'm just trying to figure out a way to connect my usb aircard to a rj45 port on my router

I do not think the linksys router will not work. Made for the USB connecting to the PC not the ISP.
You can use ICS off one PC to a router. This pc would be required to be on if you want access.
You can do it wirelessly with a AP set to AP Mode. AP is the wireless part of wireless router. The only problem I can think of is the NAT. I know they can handle the DHCP, so NAT may be included. -
So I'd connect the card to a computer and use that computer as the internet source in the router?

Yes, that's all you need. Your net work port on the pc becomes a bridge to the router. ICS is used all the time to connect game stations and extra pc's for those who do not have or want a router.

Besides ICS, there's the $300 router (well, a cradlepoint is $270).

I think you're pretty much stuck with ICS or a router. Have you checked 3Gstore.com?
