Hi!
Just wondering if this is possible basically i have a nokia 6125 classic and it has HSPDA internet and im on a UNLIMITED plan with Three Mobile UK. So i was wondering instead of getting a HSPDA modem and a new connection and whatever could i use my mobile phone instead? With some special software or whatever?
Or alternatively could i use my laptop as my cellphone? by putting my SIM card in there? [With some sort of adapter of course]

Nokia PC SUITE offers a very easy way to connect and use your phone as a modem. I advise connecting the phone with the USB cable, run PC Suite, make sure you select 3UK and you are all set
. The phone will open the connection on its own and the laptop will use it to connect to the internet. I do that with my E70 and it works like a charm on 3G
.
P.S.: In my picture the first attempt failed because I used my stationary and not my laptop. As soon as I selected my provider, as you can see my stationary allowed me to post here.

Nope, there is no SIM card connector in a laptop. But you could use Skype, it's free for long distances and you don't need a cellphone, you only need an ISP connection.
Why would you like to use a laptop as a cell phone and pay extra??????
People use the cell phone attached to the laptop so they can use the cell phone as a modem to connect with a carrier wirelessly to get internet or other data services like e-mail or txt, IM, including Skype all using the laptop keyboard and its bigger display. -

i had done something like this few years ago, my phone was Sony Ericsson T610, T-mobile network, T-zone plan for $20/mo, GPRS connection type, instead of USB cable I used bluetooth to connected laptop to phone. It was totally insane. lol
