    WPA3 Supported In Windows 10 build 1903

    The May 2019 update for Windows 10 will include WPA3(AES)personal support.

    Shown below is a screenshot from my Insider release of the update.

    Yesterday Windows 10 version 1903(build 18362.116) was released as the May 2019 update.

    It contains OS support for WPA3 but to use WPA3 your router and hardware need to support it.

    My WiFi 6 wireless-ax Netgear RAX120 has 2 settings with WPA3 enabling,WPA3-Personal and WPA2 Personal(AES) + WPA3-Personal.

    When I select either of these security options my MSI GS60 notebook with a Killer AX1650 and custom built desktop with a Killer AX1650 have no problem connecting to my Smart Connect SSID or the separate bands.With the router set to use WPA3 the Windows 10 WPA3 security selection in WiFi Status can be used.

    When either WPA3 settings are enabled in the router settings my cell phones,Chromebook and Surface Pro 5 tablet can't connect.If WPA2-Personal(AES) is selected in the router settings all my devices connecting to the router can connect to The Internet.

    With WPA2-Personal(AES) selected in the router settings the WPA3 setting in Windows 10 version 1903 will revert back to WPA2

    If you have a WiFi 6 router with WPA3 support what has your experience been when selecting it in your router's settings?
