Hey everyone. I'm trying to find some 3rd-party firmware for my router (WRT54GS) that will enable me to set bandwidth limits for certain computers on the network. In other words, I want to cap the amount of bandwidth allocated to certain computers. Does anyone know of any that are capable of doing this?
If not, what about firmware that can simply prioritize allocation of bandwidth between systems? I know the stock WRT54G firmware can do this based on the 4 ethernet ports but I am unsure if it works for wireless also.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

It all depends on the Linksys's Version number for your router. They stopped people from being able to do that on the newer ones. Where as with the older ones you could download a linux package.
BTW, you should be able to prioritize bandwidth simply by using the OEM Linksys Firmware. -

Here is the most popular of the Linux firmware.

Hmm yeah, I have a V6 GS. **** it Linksys.
As for the OEM firmware, does the QoS bandwidth management/prioritization settings apply for both wired AND wireless connections? Or is it just the wired ones? Because in the description on the right-hand side of the page those options are listed under the "Wired QoS" section.
