Just like the title says. What exactly is this Bigfoot killer i keep hearing about and is it worth the money to have it with the Sager NP9170 I will be ordering?

Bigfoot killer is a tool that can kill bigfoots, abomidable snowmen, sasquatch's etc. Pretty handy when you are camping.
-
Well when you put it that way of course i need it!
-
Lol jk it's just a "better" wifi card. It's not that expensive so just get it. If you are ordering from xotic, get the i.c. diamond on cpu&gpu too!
-
Thanks for the info. =] I plan on getting the diamond thermal so I will just get it since like you said, it really isn't that expensive at all.

Can anyone tell us what improvements we can expect to see with the Bigfoot card? I just swapped out my stock card with a Bigfoot 1102 and I haven't noticed too dramatic of a difference. Just from a few informal tests, I can see that my download speeds are a little better, but I'm not sure it's translated to real life performance. Haven't noticed anything with range. My upload speeds are worse than before.

Theoretically you should see "better" range, "better" consistency, "better" speed. For gamers that could mean more consistent ping in a mmo, or less of a chance that you get a corrupted download from a cheaper card. They're all the same to me but if I had the choice I would get the bigfoot.

theoretically its a device ID modified atheros card with different drivers
