Is Dlink DIR-655 router good for me?
-
The DIR-655 gets good reviews.
I own one and am happy with it. One of the computers hooked up to the network is a laptop with a dell wireless adapter and it gets excellent speed. And that is with the router set to "g" because we have "g" adapters in our network. We have one other computer hard wired to the router so we have 3 computers accessing the network and the laptop still gets good speed. -
Please More help required as i am planning to buy router within next 12hrs

Dont buy from Netgear, Belkin or Linksys. D-Link is the BEST right now. Dont take my word for it, just look at the reviews on Amazon and see what users say about their different routers! -
I have placed an order for Dlink DIR-655 router, Is this compatible with my laptop, please reply ASAP so that if this is not compatible then i can cancel the order. This router is backward-compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b networks.

Almost assuredly. The major brands of routers, including D-Link are compatible with almost every major laptop; since you've got an _HP, it will almost certainly be compatible.
