I just bought a Linksys Router for my Notebook at home. So now I have the wireless setup with Cable modem and my Notebook.
My question is how do I prevent others (neighbors, other people near my signal range) from using my wireless?
How do I set up a security password on my wireless connection (if possible)?
Thanks!

You want to enable WEP security. You'll need to add the WEP key to the notebook, the PC requires no change.

I'ts not hooked up to a pc, I use the router with my notebook. How would I enable WEP security?

There will be options to enable the encryption in the settings menu of the router...
Couple of helpful links...

Thanks...that helped.

Ideally, you'd want to disable SSID broadcast, enable MAC address control, and use WPA instead of WEP...
