I have never heard of Adaptec before... but no it is a peripheral connection device. Not a wireless card. See Here http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/support/scsi_port/PCMCIA/APA-1460/index.htm That is what it is.
Look for a Netgear or Trendnet PC Card for Wireless Here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BZ4TZ6?smid=A2YLYLTN75J8LR&tag=dealtime-ce-feed-20&linkCode=asn -
Thanks for the response, if I bought this, http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10078605&catid=21117#
can I put that in the side of my laptop, and connect to wireless routers? -
yes, that will work perfectly. Just remember to install any CD's you get with it and look for update drivers on the manufacturers website (Dynex). Drivers solve alot of problems and fix bugs. Even if you are not having problems it is recromended. It can make the proformance better too sometimes.
Hope I could help -
You sure did, now I gotta save 40 bucks
Thanks

SCSI = small computer system interface. Faster than IDE, usually used with SCSI hard drives in a RAID array for data redundancy.
