WRT54G has been working great for me for years (I recently put DD-WRT on it and that is better, If you know what you are doing when changing settings.)

If you want 802.11n, you will need to spend a little more than $50. If you want 802.11g, I second the WRT54g - I had one for years and it was the best "G" router I've ever seen.

Get a linksys !

Make sure you get one that is DD-WRT supported.....

Yeah either get a Linksys then put DD-WRT on it. Or try a D-Link router, I have had good experiences with mine. Has never dropped internet unlike the Linksys gaming router my friend had that actually would not broadcast internet anymore. By the way my router is a DIR-625. If I'm right you should be able to get this off Newegg for around $50.
can i get recommendations on wireless routers? for home use.
