    emachine e520 network adapter

    Unable to connect to a network so proceeded to investigate problem:
    In Device manager (vista os) double click network adapter.
    Result: This device cannot start (code 10)
    Click on "driver tab":
    Info: Driver provider Microsoft
    Driver date 21/06/2006
    Driver version 4.82.28.56
    Click driver details: c:\windows\system32\drivers\bcmwl6.sys
    Is it possible that the network adapter has failed?
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Yes, this sounds like that could be the problem to me... :eek:

    Im guessing you tried downloading and installing the latest drivers available for it? :)

    hi thanks for your comments, however I decided to try one last thing which came to me lying awake last night, and that was to uninstal the current driver and download one fro emachines direct. LO AND BEHOLD this worked and I should sleep tonight.
