Hey guys,
I'm looking to get mobile internet for my new laptop once it arrives and I've got 2 choices.
The first was dropping my current carrier, getting AT&T/iPhone, and tethering it.
The other is getting it through Millenicom.
I just had a few questions that hopefully someone here can answer.![]()
(Bare in mind that I know nearly nothing about iPhones and how they work.)
1. When tethering, is the phone itself incapable of receiving calls, texts, etc.?
2. Can you charge the iPhone while tethering?
3. What is the most reliable program for jailbreaking/tethering?
Thanks in advanced for any assistance ~ Sorry for being such a noob. =]

1: It can still receive these as far as I'm aware
2: Yes it will charge
3: I use Quickpwn, redsn0w is also a good one.
I dunno how things are over there but here in the UK o2 (The only provider with the iPhone) charge you extra for tethering. I think it's like £30 a month - the same price as mobile broadband.
If you tether on your data limit and they find out they consider it a breach of contract, so be sure to check up on that. -
Ahh, cool deal.
Thanks much =]
