    internet connection drops very often with new modem

    HEllo, im having problem with my connection, i just returned the modem that i was renting from time warner and start using my own modem which is the exact same model, netgear cgd24g, but it keeps dropping the connection every minute
    is the modem or some wrong settings?

    Did you "sign up" for the wireless connection with Time Warner? I believe you still must pay $4.95 to TWC, to use your own modem's wireless. :eek:

    he said that i was going to save $8 (i think is less)....anyway i went to the store to return the modem and he activated the new one (mac address) so i believe the problem is with my own modem...maybe some settings

    and most of the time looks like DNS problem

    on the iphone and galaxy s3 the connection looks good, only if i use laptops cant open the pages
