Metamorphical Good computer user
I don't want to give ya a hard time buddy. It the red the annoying sibling's room who you don't want to share the wireless in. xD!
Anyways. In you case. I would stick right on the 'x' in the yellow one, in the center for the best range in all locations. -
haha green is my room, yellow/orange is front room, but my tivo has a wired connection so adding a router is easy, and red is another room where the hdtv, my router of choice is Linksys WRT54G so ill prolly buy that

Like Metamorphical says, putting it in the yellow room will give best coverage. However, there is another factor and it is wired connectivity. The router needs to be connected to the broadband modem, so it makes sense to place it both at the same place, so you don't need to run Ethernet cables across the rooms. If I understand you correctly, you can place it in any of the two (three) rooms, but another issue is a possible desktop computer that you may want to connect with a cable. If so, it's nice to keep them close.

Nice drawing did you use AutoCad ?
You may have to experiement. Likely middle is the best. but if you place it between two microwaves or 2.4Ghz corldess phones ahahah . Middle is best - higher better than lower , generally with a decent router house coverage should be fine.
I have a two story (with a fully developed basement so three living levels) and the router is on top floor - and I can get a strong signal everywhere (I also have high gain antenna's ) and the Atheros card REALLY helps -
Pretend you have 2 wireless routers, they are both setup and ready to go. Each wireless router has a radius of 50ft. So it has a Diameter of 100ft. Now, you measure which one has the most feet inside the house. Has if you had the router 1 foot away from the wall, and the wall doesn't lead into another room, (outside). That is 1 foot in the house it covers, and the 24ft are outside. See what im saying? But if you have the router in the center of the house, it will cover most of your house depending on the size and interference. Get what im saying?

I would say the yellow location would be fine. I have a wireless router in my room and I can pretty much get it anywhere in my house and my backyard.
I can also go downstairs in the living room if I wanted so pretty much it doesn't really matter. -
You only need about 5 Mb of the up to 54 Mb available speed, so if your drawing has any kind of scale to it, even the red room should be ok.
new wireless question... location
