How do I save my network settings? Is this automatic for Vista or do I need to put the settings on a flash drive? If so, how do I do that?

It depends on what you mean by "Network Settings". Vista saves any profile and adapter profiles that you setup automatically, as well as any required WPA passwords necessary to access your Router.
If you're referring to your Router settings, Routers save their settings whether powered or not, until changed and saved by the user, or completely reset to factory defaults by the main reset button.
Vista is a lot easier to use for setting up things like File/Printer Sharing than XP ever was, so you don't necessarily need to save/carry your settings from system to system like you did with XP. You just need to enable Sharing on the systems you want, then add the directories / devices you wish to share. -
It saves automatically.

If you're talking the router's settings, they won't reset unless you do a hard-reset (usually holding in the reset button for 30 seconds or so). If you happen to have a router with a USB port, in some cases you can export your settings to an external flash drive. As far as vista's network settings, most of which is preconfigured, there isn't too much to save other than WPA passwords, which you could just write down XD.
