Just what do you want to connect to what?
If you only want to connect one computer to another you can just use a single cable, no hub/box/switch required. -

Why not just use wireless?
Asus has routers that's about 1/4 the size of your palm that runs off usb power or power adapter. It can be a wireless repeater/gateway/router or wireless adapter.
