Hi, sorry for the ambiguous title, but I have a question about some confusing wireless terms.
While trying to purchase the x61 from lenovo, I came across these:
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a disabled)
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (11n disabled)
What do they mean?
Also, on 1 model, both appeared, and on another x61s, only "Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (11n disabled) " appeared. What's the deal?
Thanks

Strange, I just bought a T61P with a Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN but I didn't see it say the N was disabled on Lenovo's website.
I wouldn't be too concerned about A being disabled as that's the slowest of the 4 (ABG&N). As long as you have G enabled as far as I know you should be OK. -
If they disabled N it would totally ruin my plans of rebuilding my home network

They better not have!!!! My laptop is finally being delivered tomorrow and I'm off to buy a new router this afternoon. I WILL NOT BE HAPPY IF THEY HAVE DISABLED N!!!

Why would they disable N? What's the point of having the functionality but disabling it?

It never said 11n was disabled when I ordered my ThinkPad with the 4965 AGN card, but yeah, I don't get why they would put that its disabled.
whoa... confusion :(
