This is a problem ive been having for the longest time (last 6 months). At home ive got a wireless modem/router, and the signal strength is at 100% at all times, so it never gets disconnected for that reason. What does happen, is that at random moments I suddenly only have "limited network access" and i cant get on the internet. My moms computer, which is connected to the same router via an ethernet cable, never suffers from this problem. When i go to the diagnosis and repair problem, windows (vista btw) tells me its a DNS problem and cant be fixed.
I have found a way to solve the problem though, because if i go to device manager and disable the driver for my wireless device, and then reenable it, i have internet again. 1/10 times that doesnt work, but then uninstalling the driver and reinstalling fixes the problem. This however, is a pain in the ass when ur in the middle of an incredibly tense WC3 game, and suddenly ur disconnected for no apparent reason. It seams to be a driver problem, but having the newest drivers doesnt make a difference. You guys any more familiar with this problem?
specs: Windows vista home premium.

You could try setting your router so that it gives you a set DNS address....it might be because your router is refreshing/reassigning the DNS every so often....
And.....hey did you steal that quote from me!?!?!?

Have you thought about interference? Most cordless phones will interfere with the wireless signal. Try changing the wireless channel that the router emits to a different channel. GL

ill try that out, and so far ive changed to a static DNS address. So far things have been problem free, but ill have to wait a while before i can be sure.

You can tweak your wireless driver for "maximum distance" or "maximize bandwidth". Other options.. Turbo enabled, Power Saving, Band preferences. Playing games online is better with max bandwidth, turbo, max power, and the fastest band.. G or N (if available). If you can get a long cable, you can connect directly to the router.
wireless driver problem, i think...
