    wireless showing no signal

    but im writing this and surfing the net ok.but the icon is showing no siganl.all this started when i removed nortans.
    i have done adaware scan.
    spybot scan.
    and thay both showed nothing ?

    windows zero config running ok.
    every thing running tip top.

    Have you tried going into Device Manager and uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers for your wireless device?

    uninstalled all the drivers and re-installed drivers.still the same !
    running xp pro fully up to date.sill got the red cross across the little screen.
    oh well thats windows for ya :)

    what does rt click on the icon gives you? You may want to check to see if any services are disable for your tray. Also look at the MSConfig settings.

    Norton has always been a major pain. Go to Symantic web side and get the norton remover. Their un-installers leaves a lot of garbage behind.

    blue..did that and i had so much junk left behind it was unreal...all ok now thanks :)
