The "All systems are refurbished" paragraph refers specifically to desktops/laptops purchased on the Dell Outlet site. That paragraph appears on every single Dell Outlet page. If you search up the same hard drive in the Home, Small Business, or EPP/University sites, you will find the same price and no "refurbished" paragraph on the bottom.

All said, this is an excellent deal, and I snapped one of these up for myself. It is worth noting however, that Seagate OEM products only carry a one-year warranty, not the five-year one that comes with retail drives.

The largest Seagate Momentus 7200.1 drive is 100GB. I hope that answers your question.

Thanks Johnny. I did some research on Seagates website and found that out too. But Apparently there are two versions of the the 7200.2 160 gig hard drive. I bet this one does not have the G-force fall protection. The model numbers would be exactly the same except the end will have a G for g-protection. Buy.com has a good price on these hard drives. They have both the hard drives in stock too. But they label both as having G-protection which they dont. Buy.com if you search google or use the 10 google check out will bring the price of the 160 gig G-protection 7200.2 momentus to 155 shipped and if u dont want g-protection to 145 shipped. Not quite as good as this deal but i wanted to make sure i had the G-protection. (G Protection only comes in the 80 gig and 160 gig version of the momentus)

I don't know what computer you have, but if it already has a built-in accelerometer like my T61, you don't need a Seagate with G-force protection. The computer already stops the hard drive if it detects motion, so G-force would just end up being redundant, if not cause conflicts.

Very true but what about ones that dont have that??? Then its totally worth it. The reason i'm wanting it is because this is going int my new m1330 and also going to be in and out with an external enclosure. So the external encloser does not have fall protection.
