How good is the TK-53 compared to like a Core 2 Duo 1.4 Ghz?
-
I'd say they're about even, but I'm not a CPU expert.
EDIT: But the C2D would run cooler and get better battery life. -
That is a decent deal for sure.
-
The video card scores very low on the 3D Benchmark, less than the ATI Radeon 9000 Mobility.
The RAM can go up to 667, however the MoBo will only support 2GB maximum.
Over all, this isn't a great deal.
BTW: Hi guys! -
-
Could you pleaes find a better deal then? I think the deal is quite good.
-
This is a very good deal -
Has this expired already
-
No, don't think so.
-
Just because there are no "deals" which are currently less expensive, does not make this a good deal.
What good is a DUAL core processor with such a small amount of cache?
The video card's performance would still be rated as sub-par even 4 years ago.
A total capacity of 2GB for RAM is completely short-sighted.
This machine is inexpensive because it's comprised of junk parts. -
Did you really expect a gaming computer for $400?
Not really. Limits in RAM addressing makes 4GB of RAM is a questionable purchase and having a matching pair is the standard these days, so 2GB is fine. When 64-bit operating systems are the norm and 4GB of RAM is less than $50, then it'll be different.
It's a $400 Dell. Do you mean junk as in malfunctioning, or because the CPU isn't a speed demon?
Edit: Deal's dead
