    It's up again.

    $500 off $1299 on the 1400, 1500 and 1700..

Start with the lowest priced of your model choice and build up. :)

    http://www.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/vostronb?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

    think it's good till 4-2-08

*** The 1400 and 1500 were working when you got to $1249 so try that amount first***

I just tried on the 1500 and 1400 it worked under $1299. So maybe somewhere between $1249 and $1299 on those two.

Oh yea, how are the screens on these Laptops?

I been hearing about crappy Dell screens that aren't LG or something like that somewhere...Is that relevant to this laptop?

    1400 - 5.39 lbs or 2.45 kg

    1500 - 6.33 lbs or 2.87 kg

    1700 - 7.62 lbs or 3.45 kg

And I guess they can change a little from how you configure it. It also says that is the weight with Windows XP Pro. Guess maybe Vista or XP basic etc. might be a little lighter or heavier. :D

I've read about the screens and guess it's a crap shoot. Maybe they have pulled the bad screens but I hear they will work with you to get a good screen.

When does this deal expire. I saved a card two days back and I got an email today that my card with expire on 27th march 5:59 CT?

Is it that the deal is going to expire on 27th or is it Dell's policy for carts?

I am probably doing something wrong, but I can't seem to get the $500 off to appear in the cart. I configured the Vestro 1500 as follows:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB/6MB cache)
    Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
    No Pre-installed Productivity Software
    15.4 in Wide Screen XGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife™
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM
8X CD/DVD+RW Read and Burn CD and DVD
    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT
    160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
    Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Internal-card
Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate), Vista
Integrated 2.0 mega pixel Web Camera

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks

haven't tried your exact configuration but I just configured a 1500 to $1251 and it took the $500 off. So for the 1400 and 1500 it seems to be $1249+

Who knows with these configuration websites. For a while on the 1500 the upgrade to a T8100 was $650 and the T9300 was ~ $500. on the 1400 and 1700 it was $200. Then with the 17' laptop they had an option for a 15.4 inch screen. :D

That what I was thinking my setup should be...I'm planning to upgrade to 2GB from NewEgg. I got a question about Wireless cards though, I dunno if I should get Dell Draft N or Intel 3945. I don't wanna spend 80 for the 4965. I'm not sure about the quality either, is Dell wireless cards better or Intel wireless cards better?
