    $650 off product Red M1330:
In case anyone is interested, for the current $499 off deal, in the warranty section Dell has a new option to take another $150 off by removing both Lojack and Completecare. This basically comes to almost where the old $799 off deal was. Except you are getting a Product Red version as well. Making combined discounts ~$650.

This doesn't work in the regular M1330 $499 offer. But you can take $99 off for Completecare, but cannot remove Lojack. Making combined discount ~$600.

All this is without calling anyone or haggling with almost all configuration options valid. Also you are not buying 3-4GB of overpriced Dell RAM. You instead buy 2GB.

    EDIT:
I had my math wrong so this is really $650 off not $750 off..

    link:
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=DYDWTR2&s=dhs (combine with EPP for a better deal).

Only difference between Product Red and Regular is (a- you get Crimson Red (you can't order any other way anymore, and previously a $25 upgrade)
(b- you get a special edition Windows Vista Ultimate - a $150 upgrade for the regular M1330)
(c- dell and Msoft give away $50 to fight AIDS)

The deal posted above lets you buy the Product Red for almost the same price as the regular version (after EPP discounts)..

Well one's red and the other...isn't. Nothing else is different besides the facts that it supports AIDS funding and stuff.

i might have found it but it's still $1400+ dollars but comes with led display and other upgrades.

If you choose the right most selection that has $499 off, it has a link to a product red version with $499 off.

code red forces you to buy vista ultimate.

If you feel vista ultimate is worth nothing it means it costs $100 more

Unless it makes it equally expensive to a standard M1330, forget this deal.

I know the donation this is kind of attractive. Just buy a regular M1330 and do the donations yourself.

This red thing is just taking advantage of the needy to make more profit and sell more expensive versions of Vista. We all know Dell and MS are making more profits, even after all the donations. That is what we call greed.

You're probably right but this is really the only way to get a decent deal on a red M1330 right now since the Crimson Red is not available through the regular route.

That's if you're like me and really like the Red ... rather than the Blue/Black and White.

the regular xps does not force you to buy vista ultimate.

The donation they make is because you buy vista ultimate. you pay 100 they donate 50 thats the program.

After much confusion on Dell's web site (with dead links for the $499 discount, etc.), I finally understand what's going on.

You get the red version with Windows Vista Ultimate for about $150 extra, and everything else the same. Also comes with a special screen background as well, which costs 0 cents for them to make. They donate $50 of it to charity.

I don't know the normal price diff between the Home Premium and Ultimate, but I bought the red version at Best Buy yesterday, and returned it today. The screen statics out like mad every time it boots up, and when I brought it to the counter to return it, the thing wouldn't even turn ON at all... No power on, nothing, plugged into the outlets. Ridiculous.

So I got the refund with no restocking fee.
