    Don't be dis
Pointed but I think I got the last one at this price. Just got it because it seemed like such a steal but I don't really need it so it may go up for sale soon. PM me if you want first dibs.

Zenbooks use ADATA SSDs. Not sure which model it is, but ADATA is ADATA.

From your mouth to God' ears, tetsussaiga! I have read extensively that there was a shortage of the ADATA product and Asus - as well as Apple - were substituting vastly slower SSDs, from Sandisk for the Asus I believe. I just hope the one I order has the ADATA!

    And yes, +1 for you!

Yeah, it is the Prime version, but frankly I have just received the shipment and I am in a quandary. I haven't opened the box because I purchased it on impulse due to the great price and seeing there was just 1 unit left, then i did my research on both the product - very uneven quality - and the customer support - pretty much bottom of the barrel. They've offered to let me send it back for a full refund, box still sealed. If I open it and find, say, it has the very slow Sandisk U100 SSD, they sympathize but will not, at this stage of the game - consider replacing the SSD, and that goes for both Asus and the Vendor, NCIX.

I love everything about this Ultrabook and it fills a need I have. But I don't want to be dealing with a "lemon" for months and months and neither the vendor nor the mfr. offer any encouragement that they will be quick to repair or replace a defective unit (the quality issues are not the slow SSD, but all kinds of problems common to some 40% of the Ivy Bridge Zenbooks - though inferior in performance and screen, the original Zenbooks had excellent quality and reliability.) and too many owners report - here, on Amazon and Newegg, that it's been 3-6 months and they still don't have a usable laptop.

I've got about a week to exercise the RMA for a full refund. Advice??

sanddisks are 240GB from what i remember so i don't know how they would put that in there. Going from 256GB to 240GB is considered bait and switch

btw whats the difference from ux31 and ux32?

I think the UX32 has a replaceable hard drive and the option for dedicated graphics (620M).

You saved ~$450 off retail. As a college student, I would list that thing here on the marketplace for $1250 and see if you can't make a bit of spending money off it.. If nothing else you'll sell it for what it cost you, you'll break even and someone will get a nice deal for the holidays. Not worth the hassle to yourself if you think you won't be satisfied!
