I'm not sure but this offer was available since last month and I think it's a one time offer that might last indefinitely just like sony card offer. This has been out for almost 2 months. I was going to take advantage of this offer but cannot find anything worth buying (for me that is).

Looks like my money is going into savings.

 

Last month in June when the MS discount was 35% most ppl including me received a promotion coupon code, which expired on 06/30/08, from eBay and the coupon offered 10% discount. So combine with MS discount u would've gotten 45% total discount. Too bad I found out late. There is a July eBay coupon, CJULY0810P, which also offers 10% discount. Unfortunately, only those who received this code from eBay are eligible to use it. and I wasn't one of them.

 

does it matter what seller or something you buy from or is this discount good for any laptop purchase on ebay as long as you meet those requirements? that's really good if it is. seems like microsoft is losing money because it's not like they are getting a kickback from the ebay sellers so i wonder how they can afford to do this?

 

I bought a Dell XPS M1330 with LED screen, nVidia etc. with this offer about month ago for $622 (still waiting for the refund from MS though). It's sweet!
