    I was gonna grab one until I saw how pitiful the write speeds were and how hot it gets. Many people stated it was only getting somewhere around 25MB/s write.

    Well, given the size it's not really surprising.

    Still good if your application is read heavy. This thing should work well plugged into a router to serve some commonly used data across LAN.

    I ate my own words. Newegg just listed it for teh same price and I had a free 10$ off anything so I just went ahead and purchased one.
