Cashback from ebay through live.com when you use qualifying "buy it now"

This info is already out on other sites but I just wanted to share it here with everyone. Hopefully, this will help everyone make the most of their money. Here's the info, I've also added a how-to below.

    Happy hunting!

    Current Cashback is: 8%

In order to take advantage of this offer you need to:

    a. Have or set up a cashback account through Live.com.

    b. Have or set up an ebay account.

    c. Have or set up a papal account to pay for the purchase.

Once you have met these prerequisites follow this quick how-to:

    1. Sign in to live.com and then go to www.live.com/

    2. Do a search for Wii .

    3. One of the top results should be for ebay and show the gold coin logo and "Live Search Cashback". Click this link.

    4. Sign into ebay if you're not already. Notice the "Microsoft Cashback" banner and % off.

    5. Perform a new search for the item you want to do the "buy it now" 30% cashback for.

    6. Purchases must be made with "Buy it Now" and paid for via Paypal.

Ebay sucks, how can it be a proper company when sellers have no rights wahtsoever. I sold an item, buyer never paid, opened up a dispute to get fees credited, then buyer leaves abusive feedback as he went on holiday and expected me to wait 2 weeks for payment and not open a dispute.

    Ebay sucks

    end of rant lol.

Ebay rocks, how can't it be any better when it helps me find cheap stuff. I b ought an item and paid, got the item fast and never had any problem with the seller.

    Ebay rocks

    end of praise lol.

Like any company, customers will have good and bad experiences.
I've been conned once on a set of knock-off DDR pads, but I've also gotten a quality N64 system and game package for a steal.

They limit it to 250 max cash back.

You can only use it three times on one account.

And you have to place the order with 2 hours of actually clicking on the cashback link.

Someone might want to verify my info.

I have about $150 in my cashback account from purchases about a month ago. This cashback is sweet! It was stuck at 8% for a while. It probably won't be at 30% for more than a couple of days...

The way I took it, one cash back per online session, max of $200 per session.

Max of 6 cash back transactions per account total,
    Max of $2000 entire lifetime.

They must have changed the rules since i last looked at it, which was back when the cashback thing was fairly new.

I wonder what kind of safe guards microsoft has against fraud. The clever mind can think of ways of making free cash *hint*.

Its working, just search for a generic product like Wii, then once your in ebay search for what you really want to get.

I just got a zeroshock iii sleeve. If I had the money I think I would have got a 4870X2, but alas no money for it.

Im about to toss my wireless 360 controller on ebay, new and unopened somebody may want to snag that up quickly with 30% off.

Edit: Never mind keeping the controller they are going for $35 not the $50 they used to be :(

What I don't get is the 6 online sessions. What if I clicked on the link on 6 separate occasions without buying anything while searching for 2 hours each time, does that mean I can't get the deal?

Can somebody help me to understand how the cashback work?
Is the cash back applicable for the product you are buying now or the next product?
Will it be applied for iphone?

    Thanks in advance

It applies to the item you're buying. Spend $100 and you'll get $30 cash back in your live.com account. You won't be able to cash it out for 60 days though.

Thanks. It's a good time to buy! I wish I had the budget for a cpu now. the x9000 is $360 -108 and the the x7800 is $279 -84

Not as good as the initial 35% / $250 max, nonetherless a good promo.
but apparently it's not generating enough new business for Ebay to not layoff 1000 workers today.

I kinda wanted a TV too but getting a TV bigger than 26" from ebay with the shipping don't make it too much of a deal.I got 2 eee 1000Hs and an ipod nano, and saved almost $350.Would of bought more but I'm low on funds..probably should of anyway with my cc sigh....Well the %30 cash back is down to 20% now.Hope it comes again soon.Hurry if still want to take advantage of the 20%,even that may be gone soon.

Hmm..having trouble again. I clicked on the ad link for the 20% off on Live.com, but when I get sent to Ebay it no longer shows any Microsoft Cashback up at the top of Ebay, and when I click on Buy It Now, it no longer shows me how much I should expect to receive from Microsoft. Any ideas? Is it over over now?

Edit: Nevermind, it's up. Some reason it seems to come and go.

You have to follow the instructions to the deal explicitly. Go to Live.com then in the search bar, type something you are looking for. For example, I typed cheap ps3. Right below the number of web results is an ad that says Cheap ps3. You may get 20% off with Paypal if eligible. You click on that ad, and it'll bring you to Ebay.com. Find what you are really searching for, must be buy it now and Paypal must be an accepted form of payment. Then click buy it now, then in a box it will tell you how much Microsoft will give you in cash back.

I hope he changed the Buy It Now price to what you wanted and bought it then. Otherwise, if you did the best offer deal then it won't work. You should get an email saying you're eligible for cash back and then you can create the account in the email link they send you.

Did you follow the instructions. Go to Live.com. Type what cheap ps3 in the search bar. An ad will show up right below the web results saying you may get 20% off with Paypal if eligible. It's an Ebay link so click on that. Then you can search for whatever you want while in Ebay, but need to make sure if you purchase it's Buy It Now, and that the seller accepts Paypal as a form of payment. Go to the item, click buy it now. It should show you how much you can get back. Simple.

Probably won't go back up to 30% for a while. I'm guessing it's gonna keep dropping until it's like at 8%, then a few months later hopefully jump back up to 35% and start the cycle over again. Friend jumped on the wagon when it was at 35% + 10% from PayPal. Jerk never told me about it. I don't know if we can be friends anymore..j/k lol.
