I see...With the price drop you can still buy the RGB 1200p or 1080p screen and come out ahead :)

no it is not that easy to just swap out the screen alot of $$$ is involved, labor and giving up the warranty. If you buy the screen direct from dell than you will have it covered under your warranty but they will charge you like $1k+ and you can usually get the complete assembly on ebay for $500-$800. You are better off buying it with the 1200p RGB screen and getting a discount then trying to FRANKENSTEIN a brand new laptop. If you are planning on using an external monitor 100% of the time than you will be fine but if you want to use the LCD screen and want the best possible experience then skip the NEWEGG model and get one direct from dell with RGB screen

I'm curious as how exactly do you propose doing that?

Not to mention the screen replacement will void your warranty.

talking about rgb screens, a tech came today to replace mine. Well, it turns out that dell sent me a M17x R1 screen!!!! This thing is so dim and the colors are so faded. looks I'm stuck with it until next week.
