I used this when the 400 dollar coupon was out so I got -400 and a 20% cash back discount. I bought a DV5T for around $1000. Happy hunting!![]()

How does the cash back work? Is it like a rebate, you have to wait a few weeks for it to appear on your credit card?
-
-
That's interesting! How long is the 20% cash back valid?
-
i haven't actually used any of the cash back promotions yet so im not sure how long the funds take to get to you. i've heard somewhere between 4-6 weeks -
-
So I guess they won't be having any coupons during that time...
-
Offer good until 10/11/08.
-
I thought live cashback was not able to be used with coupons. I heard peoples cashback were denied because they used coupons with it.
-
Whoa. Does HP have any matte screen models?
-
Will this work with EPP discount?
-
Is this still valid? I only get 5%
-
-
I'm still not getting how this deal works?
What if you pay with a credit card? Will it credit back that 20% to my credit card balance. -

You know I did this with ebay and cashback. But I did not create my cashback account, just signed in with Live. So I wonder if I will get my 20% back. Having trouble signing in to it because it says email not verified. But I did do it. Oh well, it was just 10$.

Sign up with live and log in, go through live and search for the product that you want and when you enter a website that qualifies such as HP it should prompt you to a page that says something like:
Your cashback is active.

wow i may grab a 15" at this price 700 for the 9600 is not to bad..
-
i second wallyy's question of whether it is stackable with the APP.
-
And reading their terms it looks like it will not work with a coupon. That being said I am looking at the HDX18t which already has $200 off then add this 20% off and you got a nice deal. There is also a 15% stackable coupon from HP but I'm sure that voids the 20% off cashback. The only thing that scares me is the 'qualifying' part.

So I contacted the people from Search.live.com and this is what I found out.
AgentChris G.
If you first visit Live.com and then type HP in the search box you will notice in the gray box in the sponsored links a HP link to click on.

Once you click on the you will be redirected through a portal that will be indicating you will be earning 20% off for purchases made.
5:19:49 PM AgentChris G.
There is not a actually logo that you will see when checking out it is the site that redirects you that will indicated that you will be earning cashback for your order.

Say after I did all that and I am going to purchase a laptop. Am i guarantee that the laptop will receive 20% cashback?
5:22:20 PM AgentChris G.
Yes, that is correct. You will within 48 hours receive the cashback in your account which will be pending for 60 days at which time it will be earned and you may request payment of the reward.
5:23:56 PM Customer
There is no price range or type of model I need to meet to be qualify for the cashback?
5:24:55 PM AgentChris G.
No there is not. You will earn cashback for any laptop you purchase from HP during the time you are browsing and checking out at HP's site.
5:26:33 PM Customer
Does this cashback offer work with coupons that HP offers? Say like HP is now offering a 30% coupon for all their laptops. Could I use the HP coupon and than use the cashback?
5:28:20 PM AgentChris G.
Using a another coupon or discount code on the checkout page will in fact affect whether you receive your cashback. If you use the coupon the referral source will be attributed to someone other than Live Search cashback which has a high likelihood of canceling your cashback.
I hope this helps everyone -
