Good deal man Iwas hoping to do the same thing and buy the R4 for my birthday.

 

The coupon shows up it just doesn't apply. I never tried a desktop. Could someone. Just try adding an m11,14,17 or 18 to cart and seeing if their coupon will 'apply' ?

Not officially, no. But it's ultimately up to your ability to haggle and who you got on the other line at that particular moment in time.

 

This coupon does work. But I think there is an issue with how it is added or one of the options (possibly wireless HD discount). I found that if I configured an M18X, it wouldn't allow me to add the coupon. But if I added one of the 2 preconfigured systems right to cart, it would allow the coupon. Then I could go back and change options and the coupon remained. I also chatted with Dell and they said the coupon is valid for Alienware systems. The rep I spoke with was unable to tell me if it was valid for Aurora or other desktops. Hope this helps. Not sure if I am going to use mine or not.

How did you get the Aurora to show up? Can't find it in the www.dell.com/saveology portal.

Nevermind. I was able to find it by doing some browsing. It wasn't letting me add the coupon to the R4 before, but I did the add to cart first and then reconfigured and it worked. Man it's tempting. And I have a $400 gift card too. Hmmmmm.....

Edit: Plus 1 Mexic00ls for letting me know about the Aurora. Even though you just made my choices a lot harder.

 

^^ lol, your welcome. Im still hoping they add the r4 to the dell advantage program. And your not kidding im still fairly torn between the r4 and the m18x( favoring the r4) but now you throw in what might be a new area 51 model and i cant make a decision. And whats hurting me now is that i have spent way too much money over the hoildays so my buget is now lower. I may have to loan myself some 401k money if it is the area 51 coming out...
