Thanks. I was thinking that is the one. I just compared it to my original Hitachi 160 GB hts541616j9sa00 that came with my Lenovo R61.

I was wondering if buying the WD would be a good deal for Hitachi replacement. I don't really need more space, but the price is more than good. I don't know what to do.

why are you upgrading then? for performance? if so, the performance difference isn't going to be ginormous. i upgraded my 80 gb to the wd 250gb and for daily activities like surfiing the web and word, i barely notice any difference. granted, i do not do many hd intensive tasks.

if you are upgrading just for the sake of a good price, i wouldn't do it. a couple of months from now, it will be even cheaper and will continue to get cheaper. hell, i got my wd off of ebay for $130 and that was a few months ago.

Not a bad price. Club it had it for $109 AR... With a 10% coupon its a good price. The 320GB's are also dropping. IIRC I remember seeing them for $160.

That was the main reason, yes. I already decided today that I'm not gonna buy it. ;)
