The only problem is that their shipping and packaging still sucks for them. Just got a 1TB drive this week, and I'll be returning it for a refund this week too.

    Why are you returning it?

Wait, last time I checked (some months ago) Newegg had great reputation in the shipping area...what happened?

They just toss the hard drive in bubble wrap or packaging peanuts. In my experience, the HDD sometimes slides to one side of the box, making that particular side extremely vulnerable to shocks/impacts received during shipping.

For California people check your Fry's Electronic ad today. Same drive for about the same price and you can walk out the door with it. I am at work and remember seeing the ad this morning with breakfast so I don't know the exact price but I think it is about the same.

Fry's has it for $109.25 right now
Just got back from getting a low price guarantee, since I paid $150 for it a couple weeks ago.

NewEgg's packaging was so bad that the drive arrived dead.

I kinda wish I had jumped on the $90 2TB WD drive they had for my WD TV Live.

I figured I wouldnt need it because I was just going to use networking, but I am finding that some features do not work on the network plus I have a lot of HD stuff that wont stream over my G network.

I'll be keeping an eye out for another 2TB deal, preferably an external drive but I can get an enclosure if the price is right for an internal drive.
