    just picked up a decent 1720 for $1007.05. my new future ubuntu server once the 500gb drives come out. expensive toy for now i suppose... expires 6/129 6:55 AM or after 10,000 uses.

    wait. you mean dell always has a 30% off on 17 inch $1299 laptops when starting from a $749 base model? i've only seen them start at $799 with 20-25% when hitting $1299. every now and then i see 30% but you usually have to start at $799 before adding stuff to get to $1299.

    well, apparently, it's not that good of a deal according to pant! as it appears this coupon for $749 base models w/30% off at $1299 is always available and nothing new.
