Glad to see that they extended this 35% off deal on the new Vostro models. For well under $700, you can get a 13" (1320), 15" (1520) or 17" (1720) with 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM, dedicated graphics, 250GB 7200rpm hard drive, webcam, 8/9-cell battery and Intel 5100AGN wireless!

The $949 minimum is based on the "Starting Price" shown before any 'Instant Savings'. The 35% replaces the 'Instant Savings' but it's the better deal (35%) compared to the other deals they have at the moment. Also note- extended warranty coverage and accessories can be used toward the $949 minimum requirement.

One other kinda cool new option-

The 1320/1520/1720 are all available with a Cherry Red exterior for $39!
I'm guessing that it's the same exact color as the previous-generation Vostro 2510. Or you can go with the standard Obsidian Black....

Sweet! I always though the 2510 was one of the best looking laptops out there--even compared to flashy consumer models.

I really liked the look of the 2510, too. The ONLY issue was that it was availabe in one color- Cherry Red. If you didn't like red, you were SOL. :D

I forwarded this deal to several of my UGA alumni buds (they're buy ANYTHING that's Black & Red)...Dell should pay me a commission!
