Yup you read that right. There is no direct link on their website for the product but I have attached an image below. I found it on their weekly specials ad here. The cheapest I have see this drive is in the area of 100 bucks. This is a steal.

Hmm. That's a G1 drive without TRIM.

This is the budget SSDs that Intel put out fairly recently. They don't perform as well but are much cheaper.
-
What can you do with a 40GB drive this day and age? Guess it'd be ok for a netbook.
-
On a side note, as far as performance goes, yeah they are not the greatest drives in terms of speed. If I didn't already have 3 ssd's, I would have purchased these drives without hesititation and put them in my desktop and RAID them. It's no laptop but still, a good deal is a good deal.
Check this out to see how these guys perform in RAID: Intel X25-V in RAID-0: Faster than X25-M G2 for $250? - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News.
At $160 dollars for 80GB, 40GBx2(we are talking about $2/GB), these suckers outperform their 80GB G2 counterpart and you won't find these drives for less than $200. -
These are 2nd gen drives with TRIM support, and for general "feel," are no different from the larger 80GB models or multiple Indilinx-based drives.
As far as capacity is concerned, I have this drive on my T60, and with 32-bit Vista Business and my normally used programs installed, I still have ~16GB free. Some tweaks are needed to preserve free space, but these are a great, cheap way to either get a feel for what an SSD can do for your system, and/or a way to upgrade an older system to squeeze more life out of it. -
I have an 80GB Intel G2 in my desktop, and that seems like a decent size for a boot drive. I can see 40GB being useful if you only keep your OS and basic apps on it. Too bad more laptops don't come with dual 2.5" bays. It would be great for a 40GB boot drive and 500GB hard drive storage.

Has anyone been able to find this? I've been on their site and can't seem to find it.
