    LOL. So why don't OEM's offer 8GB now? Really. Why the stinginess with 4GB or 2GB in laptops? Just make 8GB standard and be done with it. HP charges $60 to UPGRADE to 8GB from 6GB. What? You know volume pricing for OEM's would be like $12 a DIMM.

    Yep. Managed to order one yesterday afternoon and got a tracking number a couple hours later. I'll be putting it and a 750 GB WD Scorpio Black (bought on a Newegg Shell Shocker for $90) into my Asus K53TA. The last piece of the puzzle is to find out if the wireless card in this notebook would be upgradable to the Killer-N 1102. If so, I'll snag one of those as well. For a shade more than $600 after tax, this will wind up being a pretty powerful budget-grade machine.
