Another thing is that they will make you a custom protector.

Just grab a ruler and measure out what you want to protect... in this case, the LCD.

    Then you can go here:
    http://www.invisibleshield.com/custom-order/

And they will make it and send it to you... still with lifetime warranty.

Dell Inspiron 1521 is it same as vostro 1500 for protection?

also would the top of the vostro become shiny? or look more reflective.. i love its soft look.

the 1521 and Vostro 1500 are not the same chassis.

And the protector makes it look slightly glossy... not reflective.

i got the invisible shield for my RIZR Z3, Exilim EX-V8 and my X61 laptop.
i haven't put on the X61 invisible shield yet.
    but for the other two
    pro:
it didn't leave any stain if you peel it off
    it doesn't look obvious

    cons:
it's really really hard to apply on the phone and camera, and if you got something under the shield after you put it on, it will stay there, so make sure your hand and every thing is clean
the cutting is not as good as you expected, it cover most of the part, but some edge that are prone to scratch are not covered, so it didn't really replace your protective case
one more that i could find, the shield attracts lots of dust, well but thats normal. silicone case attract dust too

I received mine a couple of days ago.

Here are the pics of the screen:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=230893

you cannot even see it at all on the already glossy WUXGA LCD. :D

it took some patience to put it on to make sure there were no air bubbles or dirt/dust... but simple enough. :)

its a little glossy, but you would not notice it much.

a person that looks at it would just think that its got the "new look"

My friend put it on his matte LCD for Compal HEL80.

It looks good... just make sure to clean the screen surface before putting on the shield.. to prevent dust from getting stuck.

I got my KU990 and the invisible shield.

I ran out of the shieldspray before I was done, which was a royal pain in the butt. Aside from that, it went out pretty well. There's a crease on the bottom left side of the screen which isn't movable, but it's flattened out. Main issue was the spray I guess.

Aside from that, working beautifully. Thanks Gophn.

email invisibleshield directly, if it doesn't fit they can do a custom one.

thread title needs to be changed to dead.

You don't put it over the actual notebook screen. It fits all around the outside of the system and, at least on a Macbook Pro, the palm rests and trackpad.

I've been using an Invisible Shield on my MBP for several months, and it's worked really well. However, dealing with Shield Zone the company was a nightmare. It took them 3 weeks just to ship my order, and they only did so after I initiated a dispute with PayPal.

If you want one of these products, best to order it from an authorized reseller, rather than going through Shield Zone itself.
