    My memory is fuzzy on this but isn't this the 12.5mm thick drive and the 5K500.B or smth was 9.5mm?

    Unless you need 2.5" for the form factor or usb power option get a 3.5" drive.

    Newegg has the 1TB Hitachi for $89.99 w/ free ship (external drive with enclosure not just the drive) so considering this one does not have free ship they are probably about the same price but you get 2x the space.

    I kinda did the ::facepalm:: thing because I got that $59.00 400GB 2.5" WD Elements deal from staples and then 2 days later we had like a $69.00 1TB drive deal and I realized I really didnt need the 2.5" for anything but needed the space. I have 5 or 6 2.5" drives and always have to connect/disconnect them or find the one I need while I have gotten a 1TB 3.5" now and it can just stay connected and hold stuff.

    Luckily the 2.5" WD Elements came in handy for my Wii the usb ports from the wii can power it and its so small I could fit it in a bag with my wii for travel, but so far I have not ever taken it anywhere so I think it may get a 1TB external too soon.

    I really just need to save up and invest in like 6x 1.5TB internal drives and build a windows home server :D
