The sale is going on again until June 9!
I asked for a price on a TV that I've been looking at that I doubted I would be able to get, but I was able to. Great sale, and they really will accept all reasonable offers. I'd highly recommend you at least make an offer if you're looking at buying anything on your site, I've been surprised at what they've accepted the last two times that they had this sale.

    From original April post:

6th Ave Electronics is running an interesting sale that lets you name the price you want to pay for an item at www.6ave.com/nameyourprice. They say that they'll accept all reasonable prices, which I've definitely noticed. In fact, you could offer a price better than other retailers are offering, and they'll likely accept it. By the way, no, they're not going out of business, far from it.

I was able to get my request accepted for a price $100 better on a TV than I negotiated in both a 6th Ave retail store and BestBuy, and also better than all but one (shady) online retailer. Definitely check this out if you're looking to buy anything that they sell, the offers that they'll accept are pretty surprising. The sale lasts until April 21.

I tried my luck on some digital cameras, Grado headphones, and an HD camcorder. I doubt they'll even consider my prices lol, but who knows? :D

That's weird, I was able to get a deal $650 lower than BestBuy's price on one of the newest TVs out. I didn't think they would accept it, but they did.

what brand and model was the TV and what was the original retail price?

I'm thinking about doing this to get a 26" or 32" LCD HDTV

The LED edge-lit Samsung UN40B6000, which retails for $2300. I was able to get a price of $1800 last time they had the sale, then Samsung quietly lowered the MSRP, and I was able to get $1650 this time. I might be able to go lower if I tried, but that's a great price. BestBuy sells it for $2200.
