    Prices continue to fall -- this is absolutely insane considering how much this type of RAM had cost about a year ago.

    Eh, that's just how it is I suppose. RAM manufacturers always make a huge surplus of technology X, then sell it high at first, but when technology Y is just around the corner they have to dump said supply. I remember when 3GB of DDR2 RAM made for a great computer.
