17" with 1366x768? Ewww. Otherwise not a bad deal, better if it were 15".

Seems like a good computer for the money. Is the processor the AMD equivalent to the sandy bridge version of say an I-5?

Fairly close. It can overclock like a sonofagun too.

USB 3.0 offers much faster transfers than USB 2.0, but requires a USB 3.0 device of course, 2.0 devices won't transfer data any more quickly.

6620G is integrated with CPU so memory bandwidth is low, though much better than intel HD 3000 in sandy bridge CPUs overall.

    Good priced laptop.

Two HDD bays makes god for a SSD upgrade and i wouldn't be surprised if the laptop does have USB 3.0 just not listed.

I also agree, considering the K53TA can handle Bad Company 2 on High and SC2 on med-high.

(449$ @ Best Buy USA or 549$ [-50$ discount included] @ Staples Canada)

$550 for a quad-core computer is not bad, and you can also play some games on it.
