    In general, what sort of savings could you expect from the back to school sale? Around how many %-off were different companies offering? And given the current economy, is it save to assume that the savings will be even more this year? Perhaps even start sooner?

    I'm wondering if a 25% off sale from lenovo is a good deal right now.

    Not really much different than the sales that go on now. They know everyone is gonna buy during that time regardless so why should they lower their prices much?

    If you see a price on a laptop you like now and would be happy with it, go for it. No sense in waiting.
