Here's a great budget gaming laptop which can handle modern games, for under 500$ (or a little over 400$ if you combine it with coupon discounts).

    Save: 170$

Coupon Note: You can also score online discount coupons (I see them frequently on coupon sites) between 20-50$. With the sale and coupon combined, it makes this a steal.

Side Note: Only downside about this laptop is the 5400rpm hard drive, which isn't that big of a deal since you can replace it with something better down the road, but it's just something you should be aware of since it's not listed in the spec sheet.

In addition, the advertised battery life is 9 hours, however users claim they're getting 6.5hrs on average, which is still great.

This laptop is very similar to Alienware's M11X series in terms of specs and battery power, with a screen that's slightly bigger, for more than half the price cheaper.

    :)

If this is the 3830tg then another downside is the horrible throttling that happens when gaming.

Wow, I need to find out if I can get this in the U.S. What a steal. Apparently the Canadian dollar is worth $.93 so 459$ would be $427 USD. Unfortunately I don't see anything comparable in the U.S :(.

    Ugh, out of stock.
At that price, that would have been the perfect filler between now and the time I buy an Ultrabook.

Staples is usually really good at replenishing their on-sale laptops (online) or you can call your local store to check.

The only downside about going to pick it up in-store are the sales reps that will try to convince you that you NEED to pay 100-150$ for their "Norton Package" or else your laptop is going to get destroyed/attacked as soon as you connect the internet to it lol.
